Dishwasher door will not close properly or is crooked
Issue
- Dishwasher door will not close properly or is crooked
Applies to
- Dishwasher
Solution
Correct levelling of the appliance allows the door to close and seal properly. If the door does not close correctly, raise or lower the adjustable feet to level the appliance.
1. Make sure the appliance is correctly levelled
Open the door and place a spirit level to check if the machine is level.
- To adjust the front height, turn the 2 front feet counterclockwise to raise the appliance.
- To adjust the rear height, turn the middle screw counterclockwise to raise the appliance.
2. Verify Door Alignment: Close the door and check the gaps on the left and right sides between the dishwasher and adjacent cabinetry. The door should be straight and latch smoothly.
3. Misalignment of latches and/or hinges: Can cause the dishwasher door to not close properly or be crooked.
