Care and cleaning the washing machine’s rubber door seal
Issue
- Care and cleaning the washing machine’s rubber door seal.
Applies to
- Front Load Washer
- Front Load Washer Dryer
Solution
This appliance is designed with a self-cleaning draining system, allowing light fluff fibres that fall off the clothes to be drained out with the water.
After each cycle
- Regularly examine the seal. Coins, buttons, other small items can be recovered at the end of the cycle.

- keep the door and the detergent dispenser slightly ajar to get air circulation and dry the humidity inside the appliance: this will prevent mildew and odours.
Maintenance wash
The repeated and prolonged use of low temperature and short programs can cause detergent deposits, fluff residues, bacterial growth and biofilm formation inside the drum and the tub. This could generate bad odours and mildew. To eliminate these deposits and hygienize the inner part of the appliance, run a maintenance wash at least once a month:
1. Remove all laundry from the drum.
2. Run a cotton program with the highest temperature without detergent.
Clean the seal when needed, using ammonia cream cleanser agent without scratching the seal surface.
