Dishwasher short-circuits, burns out fuses or trips RCD circuit breakers

Issue

  • Dishwasher short-circuits, burns out fuses or trips RCD circuit breakers

Applies to

  • Dishwasher

Solution

1. When an RCD circuit breaker trips or a fuse burns out when you switch the appliance on or off, this is due to leakage to the ground or a short-circuit.

  • The amperage is insufficient to supply simultaneously all the appliances in use. Check the socket amper‐ age and the capacity of the meter or turn off one of the appliances in use.
  • Do not use power board to connect multiple appliances. Connect one appliance to one power point only.
  • Internal electrical fault of the appliance. We do not recommend using the appliance until the problem has been completely fixed. Unplug the appliance and do not plug it in again until you are certain that it operates correctly.

2. If the above steps don't resolve the issue, we recommend contacting an Authorized Service Center.
