Tumble dryer displays a padlock
Issue
- A padlock has appeared on the display and the appliance won't function
- How to deactivate Child Lock in my tumble dryer?
Applies to
- Heat Pump Dryers
- Condenser Dryers
- Vented Tumble Dryers
Solution
A padlock being displayed is to highlight that the “Child lock” function has been activated.
Your appliance is provided with CHILD SAFETY LOCK which permits you to leave the appliance unsupervised with the door closed without having to worry that children might be injured by or cause damage to the appliance.
When the child lock is engaged it will stop you from performing any action (except for the button On/Off).
How to activate/deactivate Child Lock
Please refer to the user manual instruction for your specific model.
HINTS/TIPS
If you have trouble removing the child lock, disconnect the appliance from the power supply for 5-10 mins before trying again.
